This is possibly my one concern about Marxism. I haven’t found any other flaws so far, but this is a glaring one. It makes sense that Marx himself may have been ignorant of older cultures, but modern Marxists should not have this blindspot.

I prefer using the term “evolution” the way it’s used in anthropology and biology: A series of changes through adaptation. No moral judgment. Some cultures evolved to be violent civilizations, perhaps due to pressures from extreme climate change. Others evolved to stay more similar to what they were tens of thousands of years ago.
